Recap on what happened: September/October 2019.

- Start of a partnership with Health Promoters
- Receiving support from The Hockey Department
- Goals for the next month!
The crowdfunding campaign came to an end and I want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone! I'm truly overwhelmed by everyone's support and it was the perfect start to this adventure.
Right now I'm busy looking for the perfect bus but I'm also setting up meetings with local parties to help fund that bus! In the meantime, the workshops are starting and we have a lot of children already signed up so that amazing. Couldn't have done it without your support, so thanks again!
Baie dankie! Enkosi kakhuhlu!

New collaboration: Little Lions is officially working together with Health Promoters.
As a magnificent, well-established NGO Health Promoters (HPSA) focuses primarily on physical health, and as their new division, Little Lions ensures that children from the townships can also work on their mental health. A wonderful combination that is fully supported by another partner, Promentis Healthcare, part of GGZ Netherlands.
Our goal is to ensure that children have access to free workshops to work on their emotional development, self-confidence and resilience. And all in an accessible, safe and fun way.
The Hockey Department supports Little Lions
I'm super excited to announce that Little Lions has partnered up with The Hockey Department. For over 10 years they have organised field hockey training camps in Europe and beyond. They are known for their hockey knowledge, broad network and excellent relationships with hockey clubs all over the world. Last year I got to welcome the 1st mens team of Royal Antwerp HC from Belgium to the venue in Stellenbosch and it was amazing,
They have now decided that for each booked 2020 training camp The Hockey Department donates € 50,-- to Little Lions. So cool!

First time radio interview
August 26th I got to chance to go live on Bush radio in Cape Town, to talk more about the importance of raising mental health awareness. It was such a great opportunity for me to explain the Little Lions project. The fact that both interviewers had no clue that children can have mental health problems only further confirmed my idea that we really need projects like Little Lions. Find out what we spoke about by clicking on the photo!
Goals for October:
- Run the first workshop in Khayamandi and set up the workshop for Mfuleni.
- Get closer to that Little Lions minibus!
- Start the plans for the Little Lions Academy 2020!
